DDI launches data center conference and awards show in 2022
Danish Data Center Industry (DDI) is launching its third Data Centers Denmark event which yet again focuses on sustainable IT infrastructure. The event is taking place on 17 May 2022 at the Mariott Copenhagen.
Further to this, the inaugural Danish Data Center Industry Awards will take place the day before the event on 16 May 2022 at Nimb Copenhagen.
The global data center market is growing like never before, spurred on by the pandemic and evolving data-driven tech.
Data Centers Denmark is an annual conference series, organized by Danish Data Center Industry, which seeks to tackle the pressing issue of escalating data center energy usage in the world.
The event is set to gather business, operations and technology experts from the data center and energy sectors together with regulators and research institutions, to discuss how we can green the data center industry and highlight the Nordic sustainability proposition.
As the data center industry experiences rapid growth and consumes a vast amount of power, governments, infrastructure operators and tech giants increasingly recognize the need for smart energy usage from both a commercial and public perspective.
“We are thrilled to launch the third edition of our conference series which focuses on how we as an industry can collectively reach climate-neutrality, in line with the SDG goals as well as the ambitions of the European Union. Since 2019, the event has grown significantly, and we look forward to being back to a live format in 2022”, says Henrik Hansen, Director of Danish Data Center Industry.
“Over 13 countries visited the live event in 2019, and we are set to attract key international stakeholders to Copenhagen in May once again”, adds Hansen.
Inagural award show to celebrate the regional industry
The day before the conference, DDI is set to host the inaugural Danish Data Center Industry Awards on 16 May 2022 at the historic venue of Nimb in the heart of Copenhagen.
The event is set to celebrate outstanding achievements of the regional data center industry in Denmark, highlighting great innovations, cutting-edge technologies, partnerships, projects and teams.
