DDI announces nominees for DDI Awards 2024

DDI and the 2024 category sponsors are proud to announce the nominations for the Danish Data Center Industry Awards 2024.


The 3rd annual DDI awards will be held on 29 April 2024. The DDI awards highlight great innovations, cutting-edge technologies, partnerships, projeccts, and teams.A total of seven awards will be given to people and projects who have made a difference in the regional industry. New awards this year include “Operations team of the year” and “Employment & Education." 


The awards and ceremony are sponsored by head partner COWI and sponsors ABB, Coromatic, DataCenterGruppen, Huawei, Legrand, Schneider Electric, and 360 Lawfirm.

The DDI Awards take place on the eve of the annual Data Centers Denmark conference and exhibition. The annual conference invites experts from all over the world to discuss how to design, build, and operate data centers of the future. The 2024 conference is set to connect over 350 attendees from Europe and the US. Read about the conference here.

 

Sustainable Data center project

This category focuses on the industry's journey toward a climate-positive future; recognizing projects that can demonstrate significant savings on their carbon footprint. From innovative energy efficiency to new approaches to partnership, the judges will evaluate projects that have sustainability at the very core.

The Sustainable Data Center category is sponsored by Coromatic A/S.

 

 Technology Innovation

Technology innovation is at the core of developing the data center industry of the future. The "Technology Innovation" award celebrates cutting-edge innovation across the entire data center stack. From design, power distribution, cooling, cabling, and security, to operational and monitoring systems - and beyond.

The technology innovation award is sponsored by DataCenterGruppen.


Construction team of the year

The award for "Construction team of the year" recognizes teams who have showed a comittment to exceeding expectations in a business where the standards for speed, quality, and sustainability are already sky-high.

Young Talent Award

The future of the data center industry is dependent on the development of young talent. With the industry changing at a rapid pace, accelerated by new tech innovations, it requires constantly evolving skill sets. This award celebrates young aspiring talents (age 32 and under) who are contributing to the regional data center industry.


The following individuals have been shortlisted for the award:

  • Andreas Niss - GlobalConnect
  • Frederik Bille Knudsen – T5 Data Centers
  • Andreas Korreborg Nielsen – T5 Data Centers

 

The young talent award is sponsored by ABB.


Operations Team of the Year

The Operations Team of the Year Award acknowledges exceptional mastery in managing and optimizing data center operations, showcasing efficiency, innovation, and resilience.

Employment & Education Award

The Employment and Education Award recognizes the commitment of individuals, organisations or projects to ensuring a diverse data center workforce for the future.

DDI Dedication award

In addition, DDI will present the DDI Dedication award to a thought-leader in the industry. The award is intended to celebrate an individual for their exceptional contribution to the data center ecosystem in Denmark. This award is nominated and selected by the DDI Board.
