Data Centers Denmark Conference and Expo 2024 to focus on sustainability and energy efficiency in the age of AI

The annual event invites experts from all over the world to discuss how to design, build, and operate data centers of the future. The event is set to connect over 350 attendees from Europe and the US.

Data Centers Denmark will take place on 30 April 2024 at the Marriott Hotel in Copenhagen. The conference is organized by the Danish Data Center Industry and includes international speakers and expert debate panels. Breakout sessions and tech talks will provide the opportunity to explore case studies or go in-depth on niche topics within data center and cloud sustainability.

The event is set to host a range of industry experts, legislators, and research organizations to discuss data center energy efficiency and sustainability in an industry facing exponential growth. Highlights of the program includes data centers in space, AI, and how EU regulations are set to impact the industry

 

With a core focus on sustainability, the conference will address both the challenges facing the industry as well as potential solutions. Topics include how the growth of AI is disrupting the industry, the challenges with achieving carbon neutrality, IT sourcing strategies, and the industry’s road to Net Zero.

 

Keynote speakers include Ali Syed, (Chief Technology Officer, Danish National Genome Center), John Frey (Chief Technologist, Sustainable Transformation, Hewlett Packard Enterprise), Yves Durand (Director of Technology, Thales Alenia Space), Todd Noe (Director of Technologies, Microsoft), Priya Chhiba (Sustainability Lead, Data Center Innovation, Google) and many more.

DDI Awards celebrate the regional data center industry

 

As is tradition, the annual DDI awards will be held on 29 April 2024, the evening before the conference. The DDI awards highlight great innovations, cutting-edge technologies, partnerships, projects and teams. New awards this year include “Operations team of the year” and “Employment & Education." A total of seven awards will be given to people and projects who have made a difference in the regional industry.
