Data Center Connectivity Field Engineer (Facebook)

Our data centers are the foundation upon which our innovative services are delivered and our rapidly scaling infrastructure operates. The DCC team lights up Facebook’s global data centers, delivering the physical infrastructure that connects the world to the videos, feeds, and other information stored on Facebook’s server banks. The Data Center Connectivity (DCC) Field Engineer has Vendor management responsibility for delivering and maintaining new builds and retrofits for all low voltage and fiber optic cabling and support infrastructure. The Field Engineer is the DCC point of contact for our Vendor, and to other stakeholders at the data center. This position is full-time, located at our Odense, Denmark Data Center.

Data Center Infrastructure Information Security Engineer (Facebook)

Facebook is seeking a forward thinking experienced Information Security professional to join our Data Center Site Operations team. Our data centers, and the tens of thousands of servers installed in them, are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently operates and upon which our innovative services are delivered. Facebook is at the leading edge of the global data center industry both in terms of how data centers are designed and operated.
This position is full-time and has the potential be based in one of our EMEA data centers (Odense, Denmark – Lulea, Sweden or Clonee, Ireland). We seek an Information Security professional with advanced, hands-on technical skills in designing, supporting, and assessing compliance-related controls and procedures around physical data media handling (ideally in a Data Center environment).

Data Center Facilities Technician (Google)

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and HVAC systems in the world. Facilities Technicians at Google data centers operate, monitor and support physical facilities conditions. Some of these duties will include heating and cooling of air and water, power supply, generators, UPS systems, electrical distribution and control and monitoring systems. You regularly help inspect, maintain and repair various data center systems such as piping and non-critical electrical or mechanical system components). You provide daily assistance to senior technicians as you read blueprints/schematics, conduct tours of systems and assess their working order.

As an advocate for best practices, you develop creative approaches to reducing operational costs while improving overall data center efficiency. You ensure that environmental and safety standards are consistently met, identifying problems and making repairs quickly. In emergency situations or abnormal conditions, you manage data center performance issues and outages to minimize the recovery time from failures.

Critical Facility Engineer (Facebook)

The data center Critical Facility Engineer will work with the Facilities engineering team to facilitate operating and maintaining the data center. The candidate will need to be experienced in diverse industries such as electrical generation, electrical distribution, cooling technologies and fire suppression systems. The Critical Facility Engineers, together with the facilities team, are responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the critical facilities infrastructure, 24 hours a day. This will include day and night shifts.

Data Center Lead, Odense (Milestone Technologies, Inc)

Som Data Center leder bruger du mere end 50% af tiden på at samarbejde med teknikerne IC1 og IC2 med at supporte installering, fejlfinding og vedligeholdelse af servere. Den resterende tid vil blive brugt på planlægning af den daglige ledelse. Du vil være en ledende spiller i at identificere og eskalere muligheder inden for klientens infrastruktur til effektivitetsforbedringer. Grundlæggende viden og erfaring med at arbejde med computere eller relateret erfaring er forventet samt supervisor ansvar. Tidligere ledelseserfaring ønskes.

Ansvar:

  • Overvåger daglig ledelse af personale, herunder IC1- og IC2-teknikere.
    • Godkende arbejdstid.
    • Coach- og mentor af personale for at opnå resultater af høj kvalitet og høj ydeevne.
    • Foretag regelmæssige en til en møder med medarbejderne for at give feedback og årlige præstationsanmeldelser.
    • Overhold og anvend disciplinærprocessen relateret til personalets præstationsproblemer.
  • Give forklaringer på driftsresultater (forklar målinger / KPI’s mistede, opfyldte eller overskridende mål.)
  • Give input og forslag til forbedring af den driftsmæssige ydeevne og effektivitet i det lokale miljø.
  • Planlæg eventuelt vikarer til kortvarige projekter.
  • Planlæg for yderligere tekniske kapaciteter, arbejde med rekrutteringsteam for at interviewe og foreslå kandidater til backfills og nye stillinger.)
  • Hjælp til onboarding og træning af alle ny ansatte.
  • Samarbejd og del ”Best practice” andre Data Center Leads på Globalt niveau.
  • Sørg for lokal udførelse af centrale leverancer og rapporter
  • Andre opgaver som tildelt af ledelsen.

  • Grundlæggende kendskab til og erfaring med computer hardware
  • Grundlæggende lederkompetencer
  • Høj grad af professionalisme, stærke relations evner
  • Høj grad af skriftlig og mundtlig flytning på engelsk
  • Evne til hurtigt at lære ny software
  • Multi-tasking
  • I stand til sikkert at løfte og bevæge mindst 25 Kg.
